Summary

The 86 foot tall Lighthouse is truly a one-of-a-kind structure that was inspired by Saxon towers in Germany but was built with a Texas touch.  There is absolutely nothing quite like it anywhere.  Sitting on the top of a prominent hill (which is itself over 200 feet high), the Lighthouse provides 50 mile breathtaking views.  In fact, the entire fourth floor of the Lighthouse is an eight-sided observatory with large windows that are specifically designed to maximize your viewing experience (there's also a wet bar for those that want to enjoy a cocktail while they soak in the views).

The Lighthouse includes 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and sleeps 9 people comfortably and 15 people with the use of sofas and 2 full size beds that are inside the bean bags in the secret room (all linens are provided).  Just like our other homes,  you need only to pack your overnight bag.  We have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.

Rates & Restrictions

Rates & Restrictions

The nightly rate for 2 people is $760 per night.  For each additional guest (over the age of 2), its $35 per night per person up to a max of 15 people (so if you have 15 people staying in the home the nightly rate would be $1,215 plus tax.)  We have a two night minimum stay (except three nights on major holiday dates and Spring Break).  Click on Rates & Policies for additional information.

If you wish to bring your dog or your horse we have accommodations for them as well.  The yard is fenced for your dog.  We ask that you keep them off the furniture and beds and you are required to bring a crate to house them when you are away from the house.  Click on Rates & Policies for additional information.

We think the Lighthouse is a great addition to our ranch and to the Hill Country.  To check availability on the Lighthouse, click on the button below and you will be sent to our secure reservation system to book your stay.

Detailed Information

Detailed Information

The first floor of the Lighthouse consists of a great room with a large living room (made for entertaining), a full size kitchen (nestled inside limestone rock arches at the base of the tower) and a dining room with a 10 foot solid wood table that elegantly seats 10 people for dinner.  The kitchen is furnished with coffeemaker, pots, pans, stove (with double ovens), refrigerator, microwave, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, serving bowls, cooking utensils, misc. spices, knife block, toaster, etc.  The living area has stone floors, leather furnishings, and an "old world" decor.  There is a 50-inch flat screen satellite TV (with movie channels), a DVD for rentals, and an internet connection.

The first floor contains two bedrooms, including the master bedroom with a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a large walk-in shower.  This bedroom includes large stone-lined windows that provide a magnificent northern view of the negative edge pool and the surrounding countryside.  The second bedroom on the first floor also has a king size bed and a bathroom that is only a few steps from the door.  This bedroom provides a beautiful southern view of the ranch.

The second floor of the Lighthouse includes a bedroom with two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom.  There is a secret room near this bedroom that is especially made for children.  Your children's quest is to find the secret door into the secret room (adults who enjoy old movies can probably find this door relatively easily).

The third floor of the Lighthouse contains a twin bed, a full bed, and an en-suite bathroom.  Leading from the third floor to the fourth floor is a spiral staircase that takes you up to the observatory.

The Lighthouse also includes a private negative edge pool with built in hot tub, and a slide going down to a splash pool for the kids.  The views while sitting in this pool are amazing.  There is also a wrap around stone deck next to the pool that has a propane fire pit to enjoy those star filled nights.  For those that want a "wood" fire pit, there is one of those too, just past the sports court set up for tennis, full court basketball, and volleyball. It's BYOB (bring your own balls).

The Lighthouse has an additional separate coded gate entry so only guests staying at the Lighthouse can access it.

The Lighthouse is available for weddings (up to 125 guests), reunions, corporate parties, and other events.  Any event held on a weekend requires a 2 night minimum stay.  We do offer one day events during the week (Monday through Thursday only).  After Thanksgiving the house is decorated for Christmas and would be perfect venue for a corporate Christmas party during the week.  See our Weddings & Events page for more information.

During your stay your have access to the entire ranch as well as the hot tub and waterfall grotto located on the banks of Miller Creek and the swimming pool and hot tub located at the Arc de Texas®.

Rental of any of our houses or suites provides you access to the entire ranch (both tracts), which has numerous springs, over 4,000 feet of clear rock-bottom creek to swim and tube in (and including a unique creekside hot tub and waterfall grotto), 8 ponds to fish, a seasonal waterfall and miles of trails for riding ATVs, bike riding, hiking or horseback riding on your own horses.
