Summary
The Marquis de Lafayette being a gregarious man, we thought it best dub our two bedroom suite in his honor. "The Marquis de Lafayette Suite" is on the second floor of the Arc de Texas® and has windows that provide excellent views in southerly and westerly directions.
This suite offers guests 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4 people comfortably and 5 people with the use of the couch in the living room (all linens are provided). Just like our other suites, you need only to pack your overnight bag. We have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.
Rates & Restrictions
The nightly rate for 2 people starts at $270 per night. Each additional guest (over the age of 2) is $30 per night, per person up to a max of 5 people (so if you have 5 people staying in the home the nightly rate would be around $360 plus tax). We have a two night minimum (except three nights on major holiday dates and Spring Break). Click on Rates & Policies for additional information.
If you wish to bring your dog we have accommodations for them as well. The area around the building is fenced and they are welcome in the suite. We ask that you keep them off the furniture and beds and you are required to bring a crate to house them when you are away. Click on Rates & Policies for additional information.

Detailed Information
The Marquis de Lafayette was appointed by Louis XVI to oversee French assistance to revolutionary military efforts during the war of independence. He was present in 1781 when American troops won the war by forcing Cornwallis' army to surrender at Yorktown (French warships were instrumental in preventing a British evacuation by sea).

Lafayette was well liked after the war and was hailed as a hero in the U.S. for the rest of his life, thus we named this delightful suite after him.
This 2 bedroom suite has a kitchenette, central air/heat, and access to the Arc's resort area swimming pool and hot tub. You can also use the elevator to go to the roof top terrace to enjoy your cocktail while taking in the arresting 360 degree views. You also have access to the Arc's large fire pit, with chairs, that allows you to sit and enjoy the stars around the fire. The suite sleeps 4-5 people with the use of the couch in the living room. The first bedroom has a king bed with an embossed leather headboard and the second bedroom has two twin scrolled wrought iron beds (all linens are provided).
The kitchenette is furnished with coffeemaker, pots, pans, 2-burner cook top, under counter refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, serving bowls, cooking utensils, misc. spices, knife block, toaster, etc. The living area has leather furnishings, and a large flat panel TV for your enjoyment. You can put your feet up and read a good book, watch satellite TV (movie channels included) or head into town and rent a DVD to watch on the television. There is no telephone but there is an internet connection in the Arc de Texas® if you really must stay in touch with those everyday hassles!
In addition, we also have a propane grill for outdoor cooking for all guests staying at the Arc de Texas®. Rental of any of our houses and suites provides you access to the entire ranch (both tracts), which has numerous springs, over 4,000 feet of clear rock-bottom creek to swim and tube in (and including a unique creekside hot tub and waterfall grotto), 8 ponds to fish, a seasonal waterfall and miles of trails for riding ATVs, bike riding, hiking or horseback riding.
