"The
Lighthouse"
The 86 foot tall Lighthouse is truly
a one-of-a-kind structure that was inspired by Saxon
towers in Germany but was built with a Texas touch.
There is absolutely nothing quite like it anywhere.
Sitting on the top of a prominent hill (which is
itself over 200 feet high), the Lighthouse provides
50 mile breathtaking views. In fact, the
entire fourth floor of the Lighthouse is an
eight-sided observatory with large windows that are
specifically designed to maximize your viewing
experience (there's also a wet bar for those that
want to enjoy a cocktail while they soak in the
views)
The
Lighthouse includes 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and
sleeps 9 people comfortably and 15 people with the
use of couches & 2 full size beds that are inside
the bean bags in the secret room (all linens are
provided). Just like our other homes,
you need only to pack your overnight bag. We
have thought of everything to make your stay
comfortable. The rate is $590 per night for 2 people
(additional $25/night for each extra person up to a
max of 9-15 people.)
There is a 2 night minimum. Click on Rates &
Policies for additional information.
The first
floor of the Lighthouse consists of a great room
with a large living room (made for entertaining), a
full size kitchen (nestled inside limestone rock
arches at the base of the tower) and a dining room
with a 10 foot solid wood table that elegantly seats
10 people for dinner. The kitchen is furnished
with coffeemaker, pots, pans, stove (with double
ovens), refrigerator, microwave, glassware, dishes,
silverware, linens, serving bowls, cooking utensils,
misc. spices, knife block, toaster, etc. The living area has
stone floors,
leather furnishings, and an "old world" decor.
There's a 55 inch flat screen
satellite TV (with movie channels), a DVD for
rentals, and
an internet
connection.
The first
floor contains two bedrooms, including the master
bedroom with a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom,
and a large walk-in shower. This bedroom
includes large stone-lined windows that provide a
magnificent northern view of the negative edge pool
and the surrounding countryside. The second
bedroom on the first floor also has a king size bed
and a bathroom that is only a few steps from the
door. This bedroom provides a beautiful
southern view of the ranch.
The
second floor of the Lighthouse includes a bedroom
with two twin beds and an en-suite
bathroom. There is a secret room near this
bedroom that is especially made for children.
Your children's quest is to find the secret door
into the secret room (adults who enjoy old movies
can probably find this door relatively easily).
The third
floor of the Lighthouse contains a twin bed, a
full bed, and an en-suite bathroom. Leading
from the third floor to the fourth floor is a spiral
staircase that takes you up to the observatory.
The
Lighthouse also includes a private negative edge
pool with built in hot tub, and a slide going down
to a splash pool for the kids. The views while
sitting in this pool are amazing. There is
also a wrap around stone deck next to the pool that
has a fire pit to enjoy those star filled nights.
The
Lighthouse has an additional separate coded gate
entry so only guests staying at the Lighthouse can
access it.
The Lighthouse is available for
weddings, reunions, corporate parties, and other
events.
We think
the Lighthouse is a great addition to our ranch and
to the Hill Country.
